Culture shock ! My points of view...

When I was in Morocco, I imagined France and French people like Moroccan people with some stereotypes, but when I arrived here, I found lots of differences between the my native culture and this new culture for me which is the French one.

In fact, several aspects made me don’t feel at home. I will present these aspects classified on categories.

First, I will talk about the main organisation of the country which is the state; even that the Moroccan political system is very similar to the French one, some aspects of the state managing are different. In fact, in the Moroccan system, we do not participate enough to the big decisions; this is due first to the illiteracy of almost 40% of the population and then to the indifference of the cultured people. In France, the media talk often about the politic and also there are too many associations and organisations that make sensitive people and incite them to revolt against the authorities if they make bad decisions. The main example I can quote is the sticks against the CPE (Contrat Première Ambauche) which obliged the prime minister to withdraw this act.

Another outstanding aspect of the difference between Moroccan and French culture is the sensibility to religions. In fact, and since 1905, the French government decided to do not support religions costs no more and to become a lay state; therefore a wide range of French people do not trust in religions and in god. In France, people who belong to a religion must find the way to practice it without the help of the French government, for instance to build mosques, Muslim people can not rely on the state helps, so they must find the money themselves. In Morocco, the main religion is the Islam; it is the official one of the country so everybody can practice the religion as he wants. The Moroccan state helps people to practice their religion by building mosques, Koranic schools…

Now let us carry on for behaviour of the Frenchies. The proverb says that “politeness maketh man”. In fact, discretion and reserve are two of the traits that go into making up the French character. The French are often polite to the point where other nations would accuse them of hypocrisy. Unfortunately, I do not mean that French are more polite than Moroccan, but they just often use more formal language than us.

However, French are not so sociable and hospitable. In fact they prefer living alone and in some cases they may leave their own parents to live with a friend; we can illustrate that with the big number of old people living lonely and founded dying after many days in their home. Moreover, French do not used to invite unknown people for instance like what Moroccan can do.

Finally, as for the studies, French are hard-working people, serious and much organised comparing to us, and I think that these qualities are the key of success. Besides, educational system is very efficient and offers lots of opportunities, it gives lot of importance to experiments, while in morocco is more theoretical, and sometimes disconected with reality especially in the unniversity.

"THE ITALIAN JOB" by Matthieu

This is a story about a team of high-class thieves avenge their mentor's death. Indeed, in the first party of the movie, the teams of John Bridger (play by Donald SUTHERLAND) with Charlie (marc WAHLBERG) do the hold up of the century.

The shot was perfect. And that $ 35 million that went to make the heyday of Charlie ,Steve (Edward NORTON), Rob (Jason STATHAM), John (Donald SUTHERLAND), Lyle (Seth GREEN and Deaf-ear (Mos DEF). A dream shattered when Steve betrays the group and the group left for dead, flying with the cargo of gold bullion.

Time passes and each member of the group finds himself pursuing other opportunities in the States, until Charlie rallies them together for a revenge-motivated in the order to swindle Steve.

To succeed this hold-up, Charlie chose to hire the daughter of John play by Charlize Theron to punish STAVE.

In my opinion, this story is good film. This is a remake of THE ITALIAN JOB( in the seventies).

To conclude, according to my sources, it will have a sequel who the title will be “The BREZILIAN JOB”

The Valley of No Return

The name given by the fairy Morgane who, according to legend, enclosed by its spells men who had not been faithful. Its castle was built on the heights of Val to dominate her lovers and monitor prisoners.

It is a beautiful valley that hides in its heart, real gems.

First, the golden tree is a sculpture made by Francois Davin. This tree covered with gold leaf is surrounded by five black trees, all surrounded by a circle of sharp stones to protect it from visitors, was inaugurated in August 1991 not to forget the terrible fire that ravaged the valley for five days. It is the symbol of the Renaissance!

There is also the mirror of the fairies. Legend says that fairies, by the full moon, just to hide their jewels. But beware ! Anyone who wants to steal one of their stones will find themselves trapped under water and has a duty to store their stones forever !

Many creatures live in this forest, like elves, goblins, unicorns, dragons and fairies, maybe you come across in the corner of a trail, be careful !

Only the brave will come out of the Valley of No Return !

Why should we stop seeing football on television?

That is a very important question. I think we should stop seeing football on television because it is not good for all actors. The man who plays football and managers win too much money. In French we say, the money grows up to the head.
A short time ago, a man died after a game.
When the French team loses (that is normal we are 1 chance out of 3 to lose) it’s not normal for the journalists and they spend one week analysing the reason of the result.
I found the football very boring, the journalist is very happy when one player shoots, that is very pathetic.

I don’t think what I have written. In 1998 after the victory of the French team, the French economy won one point, the football on television can make happy many people. Football is a subject of conversation for many people. The game on television is for many people a very good time, if I am alone to hate football I have many other programmes or distractions. Romans say that to have peace in state we should give bread and game. Marx says religion is opium of people. The football can become a religion when players are stars.

Second Year Project: Logistics and biodiversity

Dear P17,

This article is the occasion to present a project for the second year. Indeed, as you know, for the second year, we have to be part of a logistics project to validate our project management module. I would like to suggest a project of protection of the biodiversity. Since many years, I have a passion for nature and animals and I would like to concretise this passion with a real action for our earth and its fauna and flora. Thus, I have had an idea, a mission to help a foreign association. The association Rayon De Soleil or Solida’Eau are very successful and I think that was impossible to create a new humanitarian association.

With Pauline Rouget, we have contacted many associations and two of them are very interested in our project. So, we have a conservation center of fauna and flora in Bénin which purposes us three principals missions in the aim of protecting an endangered species of monkey and his protected forest : construction of shelters (for the researchers), purchase of some dugouts and education of children at school to the protection of the environnement. The second is the sea turtle protection Society in Greece which purposes a not defined mission for the moment but they are very interested. We are planed that we will need approximately 11000€ to help an association and for the journey planned to realize the various missions. This project will be a real opportunity to be useful for our planet, to discover a new culture and to manage a project with a real stake.

We have not chosen the foreign association yet because we are waiting for the presentation of the others projects to know if our project will be accepted. We need to be 6 persons in the group, so if you like nature and animals and if you are interested in this project, do not hesitate to contact me for more information.

The Cranberries is an Irish rock band constitued by Dolores O'Riordan, the singer, Noel Hogan and his brother Micheal Hogan and Fergal Lawler.
The origin of the group is the two brothers, they wanted to form a band with a friend Fergal Lawler.
They searched a female vocalist, a friend of a friend knew Dolores and she auditioned with the famous song " Linger". Immediately they accepted Dolores and they began to recorded a first demo.
Later, the demo attract attention of a UK reporter. They signed with the Island Records who worked with U2.They recorded their first album with "Linger and "Dreams", but it was a failure so they went to the USA and they noticed that they were more famous. MTV aired the clip of "Linger" .
The single is directly eight in the sales of the album in USA. In 1993, the Cranberries sold 1 million albums in USA. In 1999, this album "Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? " reached 7,6 million sold albums.They continued with a second album in 1994, the album named "No Need to Argue", with the famous single " Zombie".
This album arrived directly in sixth position in the Top 50 of the USA. They recorded two others albums but they hadn't the same success.In 2003, the Cranberries announced their parting, they wanted to work alone. The last summer, they announced that they wanted reunite their band for a new round in the USA in November 2009, and in the Europe in 2010.
I was in their concert to Lyon the last 21 March, and it was amazing. They song all the famous songs, the place was full and the atmosphere was very impressive. People knew the songs by heart. Dolores, the female singer was very dynamic and the group didn't stop during two hours for a beautiful concert.

I would like to present you a funny and amazing amusement park.
Indeed, the last week end I went to Futuroscope in Poitiers. So I would like to suggest you a few attractions which have liked like Fly me to the moon and “La Vienne Dynamique”.

"Fly me to the moon" tells about the story Apollo II mission with three astronauts and three little flies who decide to go where no man had never gone before; the Moon. Fly me to the moon relate a moving and entertaining story about this three flies who go along on incredible space adventure. It’s a movie in Third kind.

« La Vienne Dynamique » is an attraction which invites us to a tourist rally driving very eventful in the Vienne department. We are sitting in dynamic seat rhythmic by the picture, the mind, the rain, and the smell. So let’s hand on…

I encourage you to go to Futuroscope to spend a day unforgettable with one’ family, with friends, or in love.
