The World menhir throwing championship !

Hello everybody,

Today, I am going to present you an international event. As you know I am a Britain for real and it’s with a real pleasure that I am going to speak highly of that wonderful Britain specialty.

The scene takes place in Britain and more precisely in Guerlesquin, my hometown. There is an unique and specific event to that village. Every year, this show brings together 1000 people of all ages and journalists worldwide. The reason is simple: The world menhir throwing championship! That’s celebrate!

This is not just a sport but a way to bring people together to celebrate and share the Britain culture for 24 h. Indeed, the day is divided in 3 times. It’s important to notice that event pay homage to hardliner Gaul !


The wild boar power !

To establish records it is necessary to gain strength and good food. Therefore you can degust the local specialty: the grilled wild boar! With the "chouchen" and music, you will travel in the magic of Brittany. That’s the best mean to have morale strength and muscle power!




The potion power !

In second time, the forcefulness event! The game and the goal are simple. Each competitor has two tries to cast the menhir the furthest possible. To do that, the competitor has different possibilities: To cast with swing or not, to turn with the menhir…. This sport looks like hammer throw.

The rivals are divided in 4 classes: Idéfix (children), Falbala (women), Astérix (young persons) and Obélix (+20 years) with for objective to cast the menhirs which make respectively for these categories 10, 15, 20 and 25 kg.




The qualities needed to be a recordman :

- The Technical
- Strength
- Endurance
- Resistance to the potion
- Speaking English (for interviews after the tournament)

The current record is held by a champion of France to launch weight = 17.26 m.

So, it’s not an easy task to triumph! It’s necessary to have technical and mainly to have drunk the magic potion. Indeed, there is a druid, Jackomanix, who serves the precious liquid as you can see on this picture





The music power !

In Britain, no event without music. In order to respect this cultural tradition, you will participate at several Britain dances: “gavottes”, “plinn”, “an dro….” What’s more you will eat Britain specialities like “galettes saucisses”, “crêpe”, “cidre”…

To complete this day of celebration and fun, a big "Fest-Noz" is organized and assemble 1500 persons to dance and to share Britain culture.

Hello everybody!

Today I would like to talk you about Crops Circles.
Crops Circles are strange signs drown on fields. I am always ask myself who, or witch forces could make this facinating sign, Alien , army test or just comical farmers?




Some witnesses talk however about dazzling lights in the sky and strong gust of wind. Since 30 years Crops Circles have multiplied in many countries. Some represent big bugs, amazing circles or strange signs like a mysterious language.
Moreover, I read that scientists had found traces of rock meteorites in the grain, once they have been blended. Furthermore, something disrupts the Scientifics’ detectors when they want to analyze the land, maybe bad waves.
What’s scares me, it’s that the signs are very precise, and we can’t imagine that it’s a man who had made that with his own hands.
It’s could be a kind of peace message or a warning message….

Anyway, I got two feelings of these events. In one way, I’m afraid of these events witch beyond me and about these unknown intentions. In another way I hope that they exist because I like believing that we aren’t alone in the universe and that some intelligent creatures live in another earth and want to meet us.

Volkswagen Aircooled by Dimitri

Dears P17 student’s!!!

Today I will present to you my greatest hobby the Volkswagen Air-cooled!
Volkswagen air-cooled means the cars with are an engine cool down with air.
Obviously the most popular that everyone knows is the beetle but other models exist like the famous bus split which is the icon of hippy movements, or yet the buggy.

I am crazy about Volkswagen cars since I was a child and that I watch the Disney movies with adventures of the super beetle number 53.
For me, this car is more than an ordinary car maybe thanks to its history because this car has been manufactured by Ferdinand Porsche for Adolph Hitler. The dictator was to manufacture a car for the German people which was not expensive and reliable.
However because of the war, Hitler abandoned the project to manufacture the war cars.
The production of the Beetle Volkswagen has begunn after the war in 1949 in Germany by the English soldiers and has ceased in 2003 in Mexico. That represents 21 529 464 vehicles which have been manufactured by VW.

For me, the beetle doesn’t represent a nasty thing. Her round shape gives her friendly appearance.

The distinctive feature of this car is that many people restore this old car which is more than 60 years and gives them different styles. For example, I will present to you the different styles:

· The Vintage consists in restoring the car like the origin model, exterior, interior, color and engine.

· The Old School consists in restoring the car like origin model (interior and exterior) but in changing the origin engine with an engine more powerful. To origin the engine represents 30hp and with the performance engine part it could reach 300hp. The purpose is to participate to the dragster races on the runway against the recent cars.

· The Restocal consist to paint the car with flashy color and to equip the car with chromed accessory (chromed rim, roof rack) and to lover the car.

· The HoodRide consist to drive a car which is the most rusty, even if there are the holes in the body and to scrape the tar to do sparks.

Thanks to its there is a great movement which assembles people around the same passion. People share the advices to restore their car, make the party, organize meeting in the whole wide world like for example in Europe, in Japan, in United Kingston and United States.

Thanks to us, the beetle could live during a long time!

Greenpeace is an international organisation. It’s present on all the continents with its 28 national and regional offices and its 3 boats. There are about three million members in the world

Greenpeace is an organisation independent from States, from political and economic powers. Greenpeace is supported by no party and supports nobody. However, it takes part in the political debate.

Greenpeace is a nonviolent organization who denounced achievements on the environment bringing solutions which contribute to the environnemntal protection about climate, energy, biodiversity…which can have a impact for every inhabitant of our planet


Greenpeace starts in 1971 with a north American group of pacifist and environmentalists aboard the Phyllis Cormark to protest against the American nuclear tests near Alaska.
The Unites States renounced at this tests and the group found a name of its movement: Greenpeace.

Since 40 years, Greenpeace acts to the political people against the nuclear, the chemical pollution, the emission of gas… defending oceans (wasteful and fishing), the biodiversity, disarmament and peace.
Its actions are non-violent and very mediatised to inform public people.

Greenpeace is very known for the use of boats during its campaigns of protest.

The Ady Gil The Artic Sunrise

In 1985, the rainbow warrior, the first boat of Greenpeace was sink by the french secret services which started a big political and media split. The last 6th of January, the Ady Gil was poured by a japanese boat during a riot against the fishing of whale.
