The Cranberries

The Cranberries is an Irish rock band constitued by Dolores O'Riordan, the singer, Noel Hogan and his brother Micheal Hogan and Fergal Lawler.
The origin of the group is the two brothers, they wanted to form a band with a friend Fergal Lawler.
They searched a female vocalist, a friend of a friend knew Dolores and she auditioned with the famous song " Linger". Immediately they accepted Dolores and they began to recorded a first demo.
Later, the demo attract attention of a UK reporter. They signed with the Island Records who worked with U2.They recorded their first album with "Linger and "Dreams", but it was a failure so they went to the USA and they noticed that they were more famous. MTV aired the clip of "Linger" .
The single is directly eight in the sales of the album in USA. In 1993, the Cranberries sold 1 million albums in USA. In 1999, this album "Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? " reached 7,6 million sold albums.They continued with a second album in 1994, the album named "No Need to Argue", with the famous single " Zombie".
This album arrived directly in sixth position in the Top 50 of the USA. They recorded two others albums but they hadn't the same success.In 2003, the Cranberries announced their parting, they wanted to work alone. The last summer, they announced that they wanted reunite their band for a new round in the USA in November 2009, and in the Europe in 2010.
I was in their concert to Lyon the last 21 March, and it was amazing. They song all the famous songs, the place was full and the atmosphere was very impressive. People knew the songs by heart. Dolores, the female singer was very dynamic and the group didn't stop during two hours for a beautiful concert.
